Polydactyl Rex!
Fans of Function Keys and Delimiters, Rejoice!
New! Now offering trackball-ready variations and beautiful, smooth resin prints!
This case is clearly a derivative of a Dactyl Manuform, but with OODLES OF KEYS! It sits lower with overall less curve front to back and side to side. The goal is to accommodate the general ergonomics for the Dactyl Manuform while offering enough keys to control your own personal cosmos without dozens of layers.
The thumb clusters have reworked to a choice of three or four keys along a comfortable sloped arc.
It’s a 6x7 split, 43 or 44 keys per side (depending on cluster keys), so it’s 86 to 88 keys total.
OLED mounts are standard, but they can be removed as an option.
Print includes:
Top left and right case halves.
2 x Bottom plates
2 x Controller holders
2 x OLED clips for mounts
REMEMBER: This is just the case, it’s not a complete keyboard nor a kit for a complete DIY board. You’ll still need to source the other components. Check here for recommended links.
