Hand Sizing Dactyl Manuform Print

from $5.00

Without actually trying one in hand, it can be very difficult to tell if a Dactyl Manuform will work for you. Plus, for customization needs, it can help to try one out to see if the thumb cluster keys need to shift a little or if the row and column spacing should be tighter or wider for larger or smaller hands. For our full prints and keyboard builds, getting the fit right is imperative, and we’re happy to adjust the basic default parameters for our customers.

These are generally older Dactyl Manuform prints of various random sizes and shapes printed with default settings for curvature, key placement, and tenting.

Some are test prints, others are mistakes (wrong features or sizes), and the rest may have printing issues. But they’re all workable to gauge the feel and fit.

They come without switches and keycaps, of course, so you’d need to provide those.

We’re offering them for anyone curious to see what it feels like to use a curved keyboard like the Dactyl Manuform.

You can specify sample with specific cluster types for the right or left sides. If I have those in stock, I’ll send them along, just know the size and material will be pretty random. If not, I’ll print a small sample of anything missing.

Just be aware that the sides likely won’t match for a symmetric keyboard.
